2018
Restructuring of ShareBike after spin-off from Clear Channel where the team invented the first automatic bikesharing system in Oslo in 2001, and later delivered 30.000 bikes in more than 15 cities including Oslo Bysykkel in 2016, Bicing in Barcelona and Ecobici in Mexico City

Partners with KingMeter, global leader in bike displays and inductive bike charging technology. Get distribution rights for North Europe.

Contracts several public bike systems including LinBike in Linköping (SWE) and Levanger Bysykler (NOR)
2019
Starts developing a complete Fleet Management system (later named LISA) with full backend, user app and customer care interface based on Google Cloud

Win several public contracts for bike share including Gjøvik and Sogndal and deliver private solutions for FERD.

Establishes own leasing company to better serve private customers; Mobility Finance AS
2020
Becomes the leading supplier of bikesharing solutions in the Nordics based on number of contracted sites

Partners with VY, the national railroad operator with ambition to build seamless travel for VY’s passangers and integrated ticketing – and builds Vossabike in Voss as a joint project

Partners with TheBigIssue in the UK to create bikesharing solutions in combination with social impact

Establishes BigIssue eBikes ltd. together with TheBigIssue (65% ownership)

Launches LISA, the ShareBike fleet management platform and migrates all sites to this platform
2021
Contracts the city of Aberdeen – the first public contract in the UK

Sells the first LISA license to an external operator

Gets contract number 15 in the Nordics, and 3 contracts in the UK in total

Partners with MoveAbout, leading car sharing company in the Nordics to create shared platform of eBikes and cars

Launches first own fleets in the UK (late summer 2021)

To launch first major funding round to increase capital base for further growth in North Europe

Vy's strategy "The best journey" is based on the customers and their needs, and describes the restructuring Vy will go through to win the customers and win tenders also in the future. Vy has built up the cycling destination Voss together with ShareBike.

Move About is a leader in electric car pools and optimization of vehicle fleets. The company offers flexible and cost-effective mobility solutions that are truly sustainable and meet all environmental goals, with the least possible use of energy, production resources and public space.

Move About was founded in 2007 by experienced entrepreneurs with a focus on sustainable development. In 2008, Move About introduced Scandinavia's first car pool with electric cars in Oslo and in 2009 Sweden followed. Today Move About operates the largest fleet of electric car pools in the world with over 500 vehicles and also integrates bicycles in their fleets together with ShareBike.
KingMeter, North Europe
KingMeter is a global leading supplier of bike displays and electronics. ShareBike holds the distribution rights for KingMeters induction charging solution in the Northern Parts of Europe and has several installations in Norway and Sweden based on this technology.
